Sun salutations with Flatiron Mountain views? That was the scene at The Agency Boulder's exclusive yoga event at 1750 Sunset Boulevard. Step inside the 6,000+ sq ft estate that blends sustainability with pure serenity.
### A Yoga Retreat with a View That Stops You Mid-Pose
Imagine hitting your morning sun salutation and, just beyond your fingertips, the Flatiron Mountains are catching the first light. That was the scene when The Agency Boulder hosted an exclusive yoga event and showing at 1750 Sunset Boulevard. It wasn't just a workout — it was a full-on vibe check for anyone who's ever dreamed of living in the mountain foothills.
The gathering was intimate, hosted by agent Marybeth Emerson, and set against a backdrop that makes you forget you're just minutes from downtown. With a wide-open deck overlooking the valley and peaks beyond, the over 6,000-square-foot estate gave everyone room to breathe. And honestly? That's the whole point.
### When Architecture Meets the Elements
This new build was featured in Mansion Global this spring, and it's easy to see why. The home's flow builds theatrically, culminating in 60 linear feet of Yawal triple-glazed sliding glass doors. Forty feet of those open up to let the dry mountain breezes roll right through. It's the kind of detail that makes you want to throw open every door and just… exhale.
Designed by award-winning Tumu Studio, the Venetian plaster-clad home sits on one of Boulder's most coveted streets. But it's not just about looks. Sustainability is baked into every decision. Huili Feng of Tumu Studio explained it perfectly: "The slatted bris-soleils were designed after a study of annual sun movement and weather patterns to provide the right amount of shade in the hot summer months and protection in Colorado's cold winters… while the green roof doubles as a storm management system and protects the structure from sun and snow exposure."
That's the kind of thoughtful design that works quietly in the background so you don't have to.
### Inside: Calm, Understated, and Effortless
Step inside and the mood shifts. Poliform cabinetry and custom walnut paneling keep the living spaces serene and grounded. In the kitchen, Taj Mahal quartzite catches the afternoon light in a way that makes even doing dishes feel a little luxurious. A floating Viewrail staircase leads upstairs, while the Flare gas fireplace and Lutron lighting and shades make the whole interior feel like it's anticipating your every move.
It's not flashy. It's not trying too hard. It's just… right.
### Outside: Where the Evening Doesn't Have to End
The yard is anchored by a heated 20-foot pool, with a Brown Jordan outdoor kitchen beside it and a gas fire pit for when the evening cools. Specialized Porcelanosa decks have built-in speakers and overhead heaters, so you can keep the night going long after the sun dips behind the peaks. Up top, an irrigated green roof ties the home back to the landscape — a reminder that this house isn't sitting on the land, it's part of it.
### The Location Sweet Spot
Here's the thing: you're within a few minutes of downtown Boulder's world-class dining and shopping. But you're also right next to the city's best hiking, biking, and open-space trails. It's that rare balance — access to everything, but still feeling like you've escaped.
