Inside The Agency's Colorado Retreat: Where Mountain Offices Unite

The Agency's Colorado offices gathered at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch for a two-day retreat filled with mindset, marketing, and meaningful connections. Here's what went down.

### A Retreat That Redefines Connection Last September, The Agency's Colorado offices swapped their desks for the stunning backdrop of The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon. It wasn't just a retreat—it was a homecoming for a network that's growing faster than a wildfire in the Rockies. With Vail now joining Aspen, Boulder, Denver, Grand Junction, Steamboat Springs, and Telluride, the two-day gathering was all about celebrating relationships and shared ambition. ### Why This Retreat Mattered "Bringing our Colorado offices together is a reminder of what makes The Agency special," said Mauricio Umansky, CEO. "Each team brings extraordinary local expertise, and when we share our knowledge, ideas, and relationships, we create more opportunities for everyone." That sentiment echoed throughout the event, from the opening-night terrace drinks to the final goodbye. ### Day One: Drinks, Appetizers, and Altitude Monday evening kicked off with drinks and appetizers on the Ritz-Carlton terrace. The crisp mountain air and panoramic views set the tone for genuine connection—no stuffy boardrooms, just people who love what they do, sharing stories and laughs. ### Day Two: Mindset, Marketing, and $100M Secrets Tuesday started with breakfast burritos (because, priorities) and a full day of programming in the ballroom. Mauricio Umansky opened with remarks that set the stage for a deep dive into high performance. Jason Binab, Managing Partner of The Agency Victoria, explored building a high-performance mindset. Then came the "$100M Producer Panel" featuring Chris Paoli (Steamboat Springs), Marybeth Emerson (Boulder), Traci Garontakos (Indianapolis), and Steve Bailey (Canada and Sarasota, FL). Jay Hebb, Managing Partner of The Agency Boulder, moderated the conversation, while performance psychologist Dr. Rick Perea delivered a keynote that left everyone rethinking their approach to growth. After lunch, Traci Garontakos returned to present "The Art of Real Estate," and Heather Stevens (Frisco and Fort Worth, TX) focused on client retention and building a thriving business. ### The Marketing Panel That Stole the Show The final panel explored using The Agency's marketing and branding to grow a business. Moderated by Laura Corrigan, SVP of Marketing and PR, it featured Heather Sinclair (Aspen), Jared Blank (Denver), Elise LoSasso (Denver agent), and Nicole Montgomery (Head of Marketing, Steamboat Springs). They also gave away a fun prize tied to Heather's latest listing, the Kodiak Club & Residences. ### The Heart of the Matter Across the program, one theme rang clear: helping agents strengthen their businesses through meaningful relationships, distinctive marketing, and the exchange of expertise. For a network spanning vibrant cities and celebrated mountain communities, the retreat created space to connect beyond individual markets and consider what we can accomplish together. "Our Colorado offices serve distinct communities, but we share the same commitment to our clients and to one another," shared Kacey Bingham, Managing Partner of The Agency Denver and Boulder. "Having everyone together created space to exchange ideas, build relationships, and discover new ways to collaborate. Those connections are what make our regional network so valuable." ### Sponsors Who Made It Possible The retreat was made possible with the support of official sponsors Concierge Auctions, SWBC Lending, Luxury Presence, Kaleidoscope Design, Guest House, and Just Pended. Dedicated sponsor spotlights and pop-up activations also featured Concierge Auctions, Guest House, and Luxury Presence during the day's programming. ### Taking the Spirit Home With new connections and fresh inspiration to bring back to their markets, our Colorado teams carried forward the spirit at the heart of The Agency: shared knowledge, generous collaboration, and a commitment to exceptional service. Because at the end of the day, it's not just about selling homes—it's about building a community that lifts everyone up. *All photos by Just Pended.*
