HouseMe.ai, an AI-powered real estate platform from The Agency founders, launches in the U.S. after a strong Canadian debut. It searches by lifestyle, not just listings.
Finding the right home has always been about more than just square footage and the number of bedrooms. It's about whether the morning coffee run is a two-minute walk, if the kids can get to a top-rated school without a car ride, and if the backyard can actually fit the trampoline. HouseMe.ai, a new AI-powered real estate platform, just launched in the U.S. to tackle exactly those kinds of lifestyle questions.
The platform, co-founded by several heavy hitters from The Agency, made its debut in Toronto earlier this summer and quickly became one of the most-used real estate tools in the city. Now it's crossing the border, starting with a seven-state footprint in the mid-Atlantic region.
### What Makes HouseMe.ai Different?
Instead of making you filter through hundreds of listings by price and beds, HouseMe.ai lets you type in what you actually care about. Want a park nearby? A top-rated school within walking distance? A yard big enough for the dog? A pool? Just type it in plain English, and the AI does the heavy lifting.
It connects directly to MLS data, so you're not getting stale or incomplete info. Right now, it's live and free to use in:
- Washington, D.C.
- Maryland
- Virginia
- Delaware
- Pennsylvania
- New Jersey
- West Virginia
A nationwide rollout is already in the works.
### The Team Behind the Launch
The U.S. expansion is being spearheaded by Nurit Coombe, Co-Founder of HouseMe.ai and Managing Partner of The Agency DC Metro. She's not exactly a newcomer to the game. Coombe ranks #20 among all agents in the United States and #1 in Maryland on RealTrends' The Thousand, and she's closed over $2 billion in career sales. She's joined by fellow Co-Founders Peter Torkan, Canada's leading luxury broker and star of Amazon's Luxe Listings Toronto, and Paige Torkan, Broker of Record at The Agency Toronto.
“No one has ever been able to search for real estate this way,” said Coombe. “This is a fundamentally new category, using AI and real data to let buyers, sellers and agents customize their search around exactly what they need. Now buyers can type in exactly that: a park nearby, a top-rated school within walking distance, a yard big enough for the dog, a pool, whatever matters to them, and HouseMe finds it.”
### Proof It Works
The numbers from the Canadian launch are pretty telling. Within just three weeks of going live in the Greater Toronto Area in June 2026, the platform had already drawn more than 40,000 unique visitors. Users viewed over 15,000 listings, and the platform racked up more than 300,000 total interactions. That kind of early traction is rare, and it's exactly why the team is moving fast to expand.
“That momentum is the foundation for the U.S. expansion,” said Peter Torkan. “It's the reason we're moving to a nationwide footprint, starting with the mid-Atlantic corridor.”
### What This Means for Buyers and Agents
For buyers, this feels like a genuinely new way to shop for a home. It shifts the focus from raw stats to actual lifestyle. For agents, it's a tool that could cut down on the back-and-forth of showing homes that don't fit the client's real needs. If the client wants a quiet street near a dog park, the platform can narrow it down before anyone gets in the car.
The platform is accessible at HouseMe.ai and can be downloaded through the App Store. With the mid-Atlantic now live and a national expansion on the horizon, it looks like the way we search for homes is about to get a whole lot more personal.
