The Agency sponsored NAREE's 60th conference in Miami, featuring experts Maile Aguila and Scott Coggins on panels about luxury living and AI in brokerage. Key topics included affordability and branded residences.
The Agency was a proud sponsor of the 60th Annual National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) conference. This educational and networking event brought together news industry leaders and award-winning journalists. Held in downtown Miami, it celebrates the media side of real estate—the writers, journalists, and outlets covering market topics that power the industry forward.
### Key Topics Discussed
This year's sessions tackled affordability, branded residences, and wellness. They also explored the growing use of AI across all sectors. These discussions are vital for professionals navigating today's market.
### The Agency's Experts Take the Stage
Featured in peer-to-peer workshops and industry trends sessions were two of our own: Maile Aguila from our South Florida Development Division and Scott Coggins, Managing Partner of our Nashville office.
Maile Aguila is a leading sales broker for HQ Residences Miami, alongside Mauricio Umansky and Santiago Arana. She joined the "Luxury Living" panel with Paul Whalen of Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) and Jay Phillip Parker of Douglas Elliman. The session was moderated by Candace Taylor, editor and reporter at The Wall Street Journal. They discussed what defines luxury living in today's market—from design trends to buyer expectations.
Scott Coggins added his expertise to "The Evolution of Realty Brokerage in the AI Era." He was joined by David Siddons of Douglas Elliman and Julia Kanter, Senior Director of Product at Zillow. Jason Hidalgo, a business reporter from the Reno Gazette-Journal, moderated. The panel explored how AI is reshaping brokerage operations, client interactions, and market analysis.
### Why This Matters for Real Estate Professionals
For professionals in the U.S., staying ahead means understanding both media trends and tech shifts. NAREE offers a unique platform where journalists and brokers exchange ideas. Here's what stood out:
- **Affordability remains a top concern** across markets, from Miami to Nashville.
- **Branded residences are booming**, especially in luxury sectors like South Florida.
- **AI is not just a buzzword**—it's changing how we list, market, and close deals.
Great work, Scott and Maile! Your insights help position The Agency as a thought leader in real estate journalism and innovation.
