The Agency expands to Vail, Colorado, with a new office led by Adi Slifer and Jason Cole. Discover what this means for luxury real estate in the Vail Valley.
### A New Chapter in Vail
We’ve arrived in Vail! Our newest office marks our seventh in the state, joining existing locations in Aspen, Boulder, Denver, Grand Junction, Steamboat Springs, and Telluride. This expansion is a big deal for luxury real estate in the Rockies, and it’s led by two people who know the valley inside and out.
### Meet the Leaders
The Agency Vail will be led by Managing Partner Adi Slifer and Managing Director Jason Cole. Slifer is a true Vail native and the daughter of Rod Slifer, Vail’s first realtor, founder, and former mayor. Cole first came to the Vail Valley in 2005 for a single ski season and chose then to make it home, having since served in multiple leadership roles before ultimately serving as CEO of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. The two longtime Vail Valley real estate leaders share deep local roots, leadership experience, and a shared vision for the future of the market.
### Why Vail, Why Now?
Vail is one of the world’s most iconic mountain destinations, with an extraordinary legacy, a distinctive sense of community, and a lifestyle that continues to resonate with buyers from around the globe. Mauricio Umansky, CEO and Founder of The Agency, put it this way: “Having attended school in Vail as a teenager and maintained longstanding ties to the community—including my friendship with Rod Slifer—I’ve seen firsthand how local knowledge, meaningful relationships, and exceptional service matter here. Adi’s multigenerational connection to the Vail Valley, combined with her commitment to the community, makes her the ideal partner to lead this next chapter for The Agency in Vail. We could not be more thrilled for The Agency to finally become part of this remarkable community.”
### The Vail Valley Lifestyle
Tucked in Colorado’s Gore Valley amidst the Rocky Mountains and the White River National Forest, Vail has blossomed into a true year-round destination. Located two hours west of Denver, this laid-back mountain town draws outdoor enthusiasts for world-class skiing, hiking, biking, and fishing, plus a summer scene anchored by multiple music and art festivals. Stretching from East Vail to Gypsum, the Vail Valley offers full- and part-time residents understated luxury, standout schools, and small-town privacy, with properties ranging from ski-in/ski-out condos in Vail Village to private estates in Beaver Creek and amenitized golf course communities in Eagle-Vail and Edwards.
### A Vision for the Future
James Ramsay, EVP of The Agency’s Franchise Division, added: “Vail is a market with a remarkable history, but it is also a market that is continually evolving. Adi and Jason bring an exceptional combination of heritage, market knowledge, operational leadership, and a clear understanding of what today’s clients expect. They have each played meaningful roles in the Vail Valley real estate community, and together, they are exceptionally well positioned to build a boutique, modern brokerage that honors the character of the valley while delivering the resources and reach of The Agency’s global platform.”
Adi Slifer shared her personal connection: “Vail has always been home, and launching The Agency Vail is an opportunity to honor the values, relationships, and sense of stewardship that have shaped this community for generations. As a Vail native, I’m proud to bring The Agency’s modern, globally connected platform to a place that is deeply personal to me. Our vision is to build a brokerage that reflects the character of the Vail Valley; one grounded in local expertise, meaningful relationships, and a lasting commitment to serving our clients and community.”
The Agency Vail will be located at 141 East Meadow Drive, Suite 204, Vail, CO 81657. With this opening, The Agency continues to expand its presence in key luxury markets, bringing its boutique approach to one of America’s most beloved mountain towns.
